Online Banking Security

Online Banking is a direct path to information detailing your financial transactions. At Centennial Bank, we encourage our clients to use a handful of best practices in order to keep their accounts safe and prevent unauthorized access.

For both individual and business access, users should make sure that passwords are difficult to replicate. As a general rule, a strong password contains a minimum of eight characters, uses a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, includes numbers and one or more special characters. Users are cautioned to avoid using proper names, pet names, personal dates (such as an anniversary or birth date) when creating passwords that access sensitive banking information. Our Information Technology experts also recommend that clients protect computers with a firewall, along with a full suite of security software including: antivirus, spyware, malware and intrusion protection with automatic updates.. For more information about online banking, contact a Centennial Bank representative.
